At Music Works, we believe that music should be available to all members of our community, regardless of their age, skill levels, or economic status, which is why we're happy to offer tuition assistance to those who could otherwise not afford our summer programming. Early Learners
I Love Music Camp
Come discover your musical self! Each week of I Love Music Camp we will focus on a different theme which we’ll explore through singing, instrument playing, musical games and songwriting. Keep the musical fun happening with different activities each week, culminating in a short performance for family and friends on Friday.

Elementary Students

Gotta Sing! Camp
Spend a fun-filled week learning to sing! Campers are introduced to basic vocal technique while learning songs from musicals, movies and popular traditions. In the words of one past participant, “I learned how to sing and be more confident!” During the week campers will learn about using their voice as a musical instrument, how to prepare and present a solo, duet or small ensemble piece, and have lots of fun. The camp concludes on Friday with a performance for family and friends.

Creative Keyboards Piano Camp
Spend a week learning to play the piano! Campers will be introduced to piano technique, note reading and musical concepts, while having a fun-filled week of musical activities and games. No previous piano experience necessary.

Music Therapy Camps
Kids’ Music Meetup Camp (Full Registration- Waitlist Only)
Join us for a week of music-making fun! In this camp designed for neurodivergent or disabled campers, we’ll work together to play musical games, play instruments with peers, express ourselves creatively through songwriting and dance, and find our singing voice through singing our favorite songs. Teen Music Meetup Camp
Come join the fun in this week-long Teen Music Meetup! This music-making group will tap into individual talents, work on problem-solving, explore self-expression and creativity, compose original music, and learn to play a variety of different instruments. Designed for students with special needs in mind, the Teen Music Meetup gives participants an in-depth chance to work intensively on music-making while working with their peers! This camp will take place at Music Works, with outside time for snacks and breaks. FAQ
Winter Camp Frequently Asked Questions

What are the camp hours? Most camps run from 9:30am-3:30pm. Campers may be dropped off as early as 9:15am and picked up no later than 3:45pm. Music therapy camps have other hours listed in the camp description.
Do I need to bring a lunch? YES – For full-day camps, please plan to bring a lunch. Music Works does not have food available for purchase. Please DO NOT include any peanut products in lunches!
Do I need to bring a snack? – We suggest you pack two snacks in your child’s lunch.
What else should I bring to camp? A water bottle and a mask or face shield.
What should I leave at home? Anything that you would be sad to lose! Phones may be brought to camp, to communicate with parents after camp is over, but they must remain in backpacks during the camp day.
Will there be a performance at the end of the week? Most camps include a final performance for friends and family on Friday afternoon. You will receive information about the time of the performance by Wednesday of the camp week. Culminating performances for in person camps will adhere to all mandated COVID safety protocols.
What is your Cancellation Policy? You may cancel your registration for a camp for a full credit or refund, less a $50 processing fee, up to December 3, 2022. Cancellations received between December 4th and up to two weeks before the camp start date will receive a 50% credit or refund.
Ratio of adults to campers? The maximum ratio of campers to adults is one adult for every 8 campers. Most camps the ratio will be closer to one adult for every 6 campers or less.
Do you serve Neurodivergent campers? YES! We have a variety of camps for Neurodivergent and Disabled campers. In addition, some of the camps are appropriate for all campers. Please contact mtprogram@musicworksnw.org for additional information, or if your camper would benefit from 1:1 assistance during camp.
