Nicholas Colletto

Piano and composition

Nicholas “Nick” Colletto (b. 1997) is a pianist, composer, and teacher dedicated to performance, pedagogy, and community music-making. He holds a M. M in Piano Pedagogy (2025) and a Bachelor of Music in Composition (2020) from Central Washington University, where he developed as both an accomplished pianist and a thoughtful educator.

 

Over the past four years, Nick has cultivated a vibrant career as a performer and private piano teacher across Washington State. His performance highlights include appearances with the Isolation Big Band in the Tri-Cities and the Legion of Jazz Big Band at the Royal Room in Seattle. He served as church pianist and organist for Grace Episcopal Church in Ellensburg from 2021 to 2023, staff pianist for the Leavenworth Village Voices, and house pianist for Fever Entertainments’ House of Spirits, an immersive theater production hosted in New York, Los Angeles, Dallas and Seattle. Nick is a frequent collaborator, accompanying productions with Missoula Children’s Theater, Leavenworth Summer Theater, Wapato High School, Cascade High School, and Edmonds Heights Secondary School.

 

As a teacher, Nick has built a successful private studio, mentoring students of all ages in developing strong technique, artistry, and creativity at the piano. He is passionate about connecting historical traditions with modern pedagogical practices to foster musicianship in every student.

 

Nick’s musical interests reflect his eclectic inspirations, ranging from the virtuosity of Art Tatum and Sullivan Fortner to the creativity of Jimi Hendrix and Chick Correa. His career goal is to serve as a public school music educator, while also sharing his love of piano and chess through private instruction and community engagement.
