Music Works offers classes for students of all ages and skill levels. If you have questions, we encourage students and/or parents to contact us before registering. We look forward to making music with you!

Baby & Me Music Saturday's Spring 2025

Room: Community Room

Welcome to the world of music! This class is designed for our youngest music lovers and their caregivers. Each class will include familiar songs and fingerplays, sensory experiences, songs and activities for caregiver-infant bonding, and movement songs for motor coordination and body awareness. In each class, we’ll learn some of the “why’s” behind what we do in class and learn simple ways to bring music into our homes – both for our child’s enjoyment and for ours!

Tuition: In order to increase accessibility for this class, we are offering a number of tuition options. Please choose the price that works best for your family!

I Love Music Saturday's Spring 2025

Room: Community Room

Children this age are so ready to explore and learn about their world! In this class for older toddlers, we will use music to learn about our world, play different instruments together, and discover new music concepts such as rhythm, pitch and melody. Parents and caregivers will play an active role in the music-making process and will learn ways to encourage a love of music at home.

Creative Keyboards 1 (Thursday's)

Room: Piano Lab

Join us for group piano at Music Works! This group piano class will introduce piano technique, note reading and musical concepts. All skill levels are welcome! Children attend with their parent or caregiver learning, alongside them. (Adult attendance required)

Creative Keyboards 2 (Thursday's)

Room: Piano Lab

Join us for a continuation of Creative Keyboards. This group piano class will build on the piano technique, note reading and musical concepts taught in Creative Keyboards 1. If you have completed Creative Keyboards 1, have a background in piano, or have the teacher’s permission – join us for the next level of fun. Children attend with their parent or caregiver learning, alongside them. (Adult attendance required)

Afro-Cuban Jazz Combo 

Room: Recital Hall

Fred Hoadley has been and is currently a leading performer and authority on Afro-Cuban music in the northwest for 20 plus years. For decades, African-inspired Cuban music has influenced the world of Jazz with its infectious rhythms and beautiful melodies. Students will be able to work on improvisation through Afro-Cuban arrangements. New students to the Afro Cuban Combo must arrange to meet with the instructor to assess whether the ensemble is a good fit or not.

Electronic Music Composition with Ableton Live 1 Spring 2025

Room: Piano Lab

Ableton Live Basics One- In this class, students will be exploring the instruments contained in the Ableton Live Lite software to create a variety of beats used by the modern music producer. Other topics include creating bass lines, chord progressions and melody. In addition to some compositional basics, we will explore some modern tips and tricks for production and performance.

HOMESCHOOL CLASSES | AGES 5 and up

Homeschool Choir Class Spring 2025

Room: Recital Hall

Join us for a 9-week singing session - let's all sing together! Homeschool choir is a non-auditioned, inclusive group for all ages, grownups too! We will sing a variety of songs and have as much fun as possible along the way!

Homeschool Drum Class Spring 2025

Room: Recital Hall

Join us for a 9-week session to get started drumming! We will learn about rhythm, tempo, drum notation, and beginning rudiments and don't forget the grooves! Drums and sticks provided for use during class.

Homeschool Guitar Class Spring 2025

Room: Recital Hall

Join us for a 9-week session to get started playing guitar! We will learn about strumming patterns, reading tablature and chord diagrams, and play some songs together! You can borrow a guitar to use during this class.
