Music Works offers ONLINE classes for students of all ages and skill levels. These classes are creatively designed for online group learning, and use the same teaching standards as we use during our in-person sessions. You can register TODAY by clicking the link. ONLINE CLASSES!

Jazz Listening Lab

Listen to America''s art form - JAZZ! From jazz''s long history we will delve into the songs that made it famous. We will discuss their part in the evolution of the art form, and analyze the artists and composers, and their melodies and harmonies.

Beginning Ukulele for Kids

Students will learn the basics of ukulele in a virtual group setting. Starting with the fundamentals of ukulele and music theory, students will learn everything they need to start playing their favorite songs quickly. Students will learn how to tune a ukulele, play basic chords, and build the fundamentals to jam to their favorite songs. Each student will have access to a google drive folder with songs and class materials. A Google account is not mandatory for participating.

Beginning Ukulele for Teens & Adults

Now is a great time to pick up (or rediscover) a new instrument! Designed for teens and adults with little to no experience on the ukulele, this class breaks down ukulele basics in four easy-to-follow weeks. Continue your learning after the four weeks are over with private online lessons or another online class experience.

Virtual Social Skills Through Music

Music Therapy addresses multiple therapeutic goals simultaneously by utilizing playful and interactive interventions such as instrument-playing, group improvisation, songwriting, and singing songs. Skills addressed through music include cooperation, social awareness, collaboration, social greetings/farewell, social imitation, social distancing, emotional regulation strategies, and communication. Come join the fun!

Virtual Sing It Out! Choir

This music therapy group is open to students ages 12 and up for teens with differing needs and abilities that love to sing or simply enjoy music. During a time of isolation and fear, let’s come together and be joyful with one another by lifting our voices in our favorite songs! Singing has proven to reduce stress and anxiety and build resilience! In this class, participants will learn to express themselves musically by singing with others and exploring a variety of musical styles. Singing and making music also enhances attention skills, social skills, cognitive skills, as well as speech and communication skills. Materials will be provided online through screen sharing and google drive. If you have access to a phone, iPad, laptop, or computer, all you need is to bring a song in your heart!

Adaptive Musical Theatre

Bring on the show-tunes! In this four-week online class, teens and young adults will work together to create, rehearse and perform a short musical theatre performance. Participants will have the opportunity to choose a song that they would like to perform for the final week, and we’ll work together to create a script and dances. The class will be adapted to participants’ interests and strengths to ensure that everyone is included at their own comfort level. This class is most appropriate for teens and young adults with special needs who are able to communicate verbally or with an AAC device.

Virtual Voices of Sunshine

We are a community choir for adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities focused on using our most natural instrument, our voices, to make music together and have fun! All levels of vocal talent are welcome. We will explore harmony, rhythm and tone. Our musical material is influenced by what our choir members enjoy listening to, making each term unique! We request that participants needing one-on-one care or personal assistance to be accompanied by an assistant while taking part in the choir. Come share your passion for singing!
