Jennifer Hastings has practiced music therapy for almost ten years. She hails from upstate New York, where she studied music therapy at The College at New Paltz. Jennifer learned improvisational music therapy techniques for an intensive six months at Taconic DDSO, with a large staff of music therapists. Since trainings, she has worked both as a lone therapist as well as a co-therapist, collaborating with speech and occupational therapists at a speech clinic in Federal Way. Jen has worked with children and adults of all ages and abilities as a therapist as well as a teacher of guitar, flute, piano and voice. In her spare time, she works as an Outward Bound instructor out of Eastern WA, teaching teens how to backpack and rock climb.
