    Percussion

Beginning percussion class is for 5th or 6th grade students entering their first experiences in Band. Many districts will not let students start on percussion instruments unless they have had lessons.

Scott A. Ketron is a versatile local professional who plays orchestral and ethic percussion as well as drum set equally well. Students will begin their journey into the largest instrumental group on the planet by learning fundamentals and by getting hands on experience on percussion section instruments like timpani, xylophone, marimba, snare drum and drum set.

Whether students are interested in being involved in their school band program or are just curious about percussion this is a great first step to getting a wide angle view of the possibilities for percussionists!
