Jordan K. Louie

Jordan K. Louie, violinist/violist, recently returned to Seattle after eight years of playing and performing in Miami, FL. She has been involved with the Seattle arts scene through dance and music since she the age of four, beginning violin at the age of nine. She enjoys working with players of all ages and levels.

Her teaching goals are centered around developing a technically sound young player with a great ear, so that the student is able to comfortably play and perform any type of music. Her degree is from the University of Miami, and she is certified in both the Mark O’Connor and Suzuki Methods. Miss Louie’s students have been selected to Florida’s All-State Orchestra, various youth orchestras in South Florida, the prestigious New World School of the Arts (Miami, FL), and The Academy of the Arts and Minds (Coconut Grove, FL).

As a performer, she has appeared with Jon Secada, Prince Royce, and Alex Ubago. She is a former studio musician of Warner Music Latina. Additional performance credits include the Frost Symphony (University of Miami), Miami Symphony Orchestra, Broward Symphony Orchestra (Davie, FL), and Tacoma Youth Symphony Association. This season she will be performing with the Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra.
