Pamela LiuPamela Liu, violinist/violist, has been in demand as a performer and pedagogue since returning to the Northwest 5 years ago. Previously, she received her Bachelors in Violin Performance at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University. She also joined the Evergreen Symphony Orchestra in Taipei, Taiwan, before attending the University of Washington where she received a Masters Degree in Violin Performance. A devoted mentor to young musicians, Ms. Liu coaches group classes for the Seattle Conservatory's Eastside Chamber Program and the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestras. She frequently does demonstrations and adjudications for the public schools. An advocate for public service, her students can be seen performing at the Sammamish Outdoor Market, Emerald Heights Retirement Homes, the Lake Washington Music Teachers Association's Musical Gifts Recital Series, and many other community-outreach venues. They have also received awards in the Performing Arts Festival of the Eastside, Solo Ensemble, and participated in the Seattle Young Artists Music Festival Association. Ms. Liu has previously served on the faculty at the New Heart School of Music, in Houston, Texas and Moments Musicaux, in Taipei, Taiwan, and directed the Formosa Youth Orchestra, performing with sponsored concerts at the recital hall at Benaroya Hall. An active performer, Ms. Liu can be heard through the Lully Piano Trio, free-lancing with local orchestras and the recording music industry, and the violin-guitar duo, Tutti Dolce, with her husband, Chris Liu.
