Bruce CarpenterBruce Carpenter has been an active woodwind player for 30 years. He received his Bachelor's degree in music from University of North Texas and his Masters degree from California State University, Fresno. His primary teachers were Mary Karen Clardy and Tracy Harris on flute, Jose Diaz and Nathan Hughes on oboe, and Larry Gardner, Arthur Grossman and Seth Krimsky on bassoon. Bruce travelled to 38 countries on a 10 year world tour with the Celebrant Singers and Orchestra. He has performed with the Fresno Philharmonic, Tacoma Symphony, and Federal Way Symphony as well as acts such as the Temptations, Mollie Ringwald, John Lithgow, and Bernadette Peters. Currently he resides in Seattle playing for local theatres such as the Paramount, Fifth Avenue, Benaroya, and Village Theatres. Music Works NW is proud to offer individual Oboe and Bassoon lessons with Bruce Carpenter. |
