Students should inform faculty if they plan to miss any dates other than those listed above. Music instruction creates substantial mentoring relationships, develops confidence and poise in the students, increases academic ability and extends the human experience beyond mundane day to day living into the realm of expression. Music Works offers exceptional programming covering a diverse range of styles and activities including private and group lessons, music therapy, early childhood learning, ensembles, performances, and community outreach. Our faculty members are some of the finest performers and educators in the Northwest. They perform with Seattle Symphony, Seattle Opera, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Auburn Symphony, Bellevue Philharmonic, Tacoma Symphony and numerous other leading classical ensembles. Many faculty members are award-winning rock, pop, and jazz artists and have recorded their own CDs. Our students have won numerous awards in national, regional, and in state music competitions. We try to instill a lifelong love of music in our students and some have gone to study music at some of the most prestigious music schools and conservatories in the nation. Whether you are an adult beginner or a child who wants a career in music, we welcome you.
